The Carbonwurks Audi R8 GT Style Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser Is Based on an OEM Design. Genuine Autoclave Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre. Suitable For 2020+ Models.

The Audi R8 GT was limited to 500 vehicles worldwide and the performance parts themselves are incredibly difficult to get hold of. We have based our GT carbon fibre rear diffuser on the OEM original but at a more cost effective price without compromising quality or fitment.

We have developed our parts in the same 2×2 Twill carbon weave that Audi use in the standard direction but for those looking for an even more premium option in a Herringbone “V-Style” seen in the likes of other supercar & hypercar models. The Herringbone parts are showcased on our development vehicle.

This diffuser is hand crafted and produced with 2×2 twill, autoclave carbon giving high accuracy along with a superb uniform finish. Parts will be gloss lacquered but can be matte lacquered on special request.

Specifications

• Autoclave, Pre-Preg carbon fibre
• 3K 2×2 Twill – Herringbone weave or straight weave
• High gloss UV resistant lacquer/clearcoat
• Coated with RaceGlaze 55 high carnauba wax

For those who don’t know much about Pre-preg Autoclave carbon, this is the strongest, lightest and highest quality carbon fibre available. The diffuser is baked under immense pressure to give a very uniform and pin-hole free finish. With this being cured at high temps, it ensures longevity of the overall product. The diffuser is then finished in a UV, high gloss lacquer before being hand and machined polished and being treated to a high content carnauba wax from our partners Race Glaze.

Installation

The rear diffuser has two possible methods for installation but we recommend for the best possible fitment that you utilise parts of your existing plastic version. This will require it to be modified to allow the new carbon fibre piece to mount securely to it by using the left and right bumper diffuser insert, a simple trim and refit is all that’s required (As per the Genuine Audi Sport Fitment Instructions for the genuine parts). The diffuser can however be mounted directly without use of the original bumper insert as well.

Due to the Premium nature of these parts we highly recommend that this kit is installed by a professional bodyshop with experience with the Audi R8 Facelift platform.
