We are now offering a comprehensive corner weighting service here in Poole, Dorset. Corner weighting (also known as corner balancing) is the process of carefully adjusting the suspension on each corner of the vehicle to ensure equal weight distribution. Even small adjustments can make a huge difference to how a car behaves, improving grip, responsiveness, and overall driver confidence.

To achieve the highest levels of accuracy, we’ve invested in a complete BG Racing corner weighting system — the same professional equipment used by motorsport teams worldwide. Our setup combines digital race scales, fabricated levelling trays, a 360° laser levelling kit, and hub stand plates, ensuring every reading is perfectly consistent and reliable. This system allows us to measure and balance weight distribution across each wheel with pinpoint precision, eliminating errors caused by uneven workshop floors or tyre sidewall flex.
Our setup includes:
- B-G Racing Clubman Race Scales – Highly accurate digital scales that measure weight distribution at each wheel to the nearest 0.1kg.
- Levelling Trays with Adjustable Feet – Ensures each scale sits perfectly flat, eliminating measurement errors caused by uneven workshop floors.
- 360° Laser Levelling Kit – Guarantees the trays are aligned to absolute precision before weighing begins.
- Hub Stand Plates – Allows measurements to be taken without wheels and tyres, ensuring suspension loads are measured directly for ultimate accuracy.

The Process
How We Balance & Setup Your Vehicle
As with all our work here at Carbonwurks our alignment and setup services follow exacting procedures for the best possible accuracy and quality.
All our corner weighting & alignment services start with a complimentary steering & suspension health check to confirm the serviceable condition of the running gear, wheels and tyres on your car ahead of carrying out any measurements or setup – this is a critical step as any worn or damaged components would negate any efforts made to optimise geometry.
The process begins with a thorough inspection to ensure your suspension and tyres are in suitable condition for accurate measurements. We then position the car on our levelling trays and use a 360° laser system to confirm the setup is completely flat.
With the hub stands and race scales in place, we carefully measure the weight at each corner, adjusting spring perches or coilovers as required to achieve the ideal balance.
Our goal is to ensure equal weight distribution across the axles and diagonals, giving you maximum grip, stability, and predictability. Whether your focus is track performance, spirited road driving, or simply achieving the most balanced setup for your car, we follow a professional, detail-driven process that leaves nothing to chance.
Once this work has been carried out satisfactorily, the measurement data will be stored and a report generated before removing the corner weighting equipment. With this removed we will then replace it with our Wheel Alignment system to further work on your vehicle geometry to get that perfect setup for your vehicle. The Pricing
Ensuring You Get The Best Setup For Your Vehicle
Our corner weighting service is a fine art that requires time, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail. Each session includes both ride height adjustment and a full wheel alignment to ensure the setup is optimised from every angle.
Pricing starts from £495*, which typically covers around five hours of work. However, the exact time required will depend on your vehicle’s age, mileage, condition, and the type of suspension installed. High-performance coilover systems or cars with more complex setups may take longer to dial in correctly.
In some cases, achieving the perfect balance can take the better part of a full day — but that’s exactly what makes the difference between an average job and a truly transformed driving experience. We don’t rush the process; every adjustment is carefully measured and fine-tuned until the car is exactly as it should be.

*We show all our prices starting from due to some vehicles needing additional work before adjustments can be made. For instance some components may be seized and require freeing or trim panels may need to be removed to gain access. For any work required to get the vehicle ready for alignment is charge out at £96 per hour including VAT on top of the prices and timescales mentioned above.
