The latest generation G series M3 & M4 (G8X) can opt for an M Performance large flow-through rear spoiler. This swan neck carbon spoiler looks fantastic but was originally only designed for the G series M3 & M4. We like to do things a bit differently here at Carbonwurks and as such, after we showcased this particular spoiler installed on an F82 we had a local customer with an E92 wanting this exact same upgrade once he saw it.

With the carbon spoiler we have based our own “M-Performance” flow-through big wing on the OEM original but at a more cost effective price without compromising quality or fitment. Our design provides an aggressive look for the rear of your vehicle and enhances the styling dramatically as well as helping increase rear downforce on the car. The added downforce dramatically helps increase rear end stability under fast cornering and high speed braking. This is made with the same 2×2 twill carbon weave BMW use for their parts.

The Carbonwurks carbon fibre rear wing includes the M-Performance UV resistant vinyl lettering already applied to give you that true OEM look. This can be removed if preferred.

Unlike the BMW M4 F82 retrofit we created, it’s not been possible to create an F-Series style fitting kit to go with it sadly due to no fixing points available. That said this wing can be securely bolted and fastened to the rear boot lid.

Specifications

• High gloss UV resistant lacquer/clearcoat
• Coated with RaceGlaze 55 high carnauba wax

For those who don’t know much about Pre-preg Autoclave carbon, this is the strongest, lightest and highest quality carbon fibre available. The splitter components are cooked under immense pressure to give a very uniform and pin-hole free finish. With this being cured at high temps, it ensures longevity of the overall product. The splitter is then finished in a UV, high gloss lacquer before being hand and machined polished and being treated to a high content carnauba wax from our partners Race Glaze.

Installation

As part of the kit you will get enough bolts and fixings to mount this to your vehicle. We would however recommend two aluminium plates (Not part of our kit) to help spread the load when bolting through. We have included some imagery as an example to how this can be achieved however. You will need to make accurate measurements to allow for you to align this wing centrally and then make cuts to the internal skin of the boot lid to allow this plate to fit. No measurements are provided so we recommend that this installation is completed by a professional technician with experience of this platform.
