Porsche 911 992.1 Dissident Automotive Carbon Fibre Fixed Ducktail Spoiler
The Dissident Automotive Porsche 911 (992.1) Carbon Fibre Fixed Ducktail Spoiler. OEM Fitment With Motorsports Inspired Styling. Genuine Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre. Uk Made.
Building off the success of the OEM style mini ducktail, Dissident’s fixed ducktail reworks the rear profile of the Porsche 992.1 with an OEM+ carbon fibre solution that nods to classic Porsche aero while remaining thoroughly modern. Manufactured in autoclaved pre-preg carbon fibre and finish-matched to OEM panel weaves, this ducktail is available unpainted (bare carbon), in body colour, or body colour with a carbon accent.
The ducktail has deep roots in Porsche history. First introduced on the legendary 1973 911 Carrera RS, the original ducktail was developed to reduce rear-end lift at high speed while giving the car its unmistakable silhouette. The design quickly became an icon — functional, lightweight, and instantly recognisable. Over the years, Porsche has revisited the ducktail on limited-run models, paying tribute to the RS while refining the aero. Dissident’s 992.1 ducktail continues this lineage, blending that motorsport-inspired heritage with modern manufacturing and a sharper, more aggressive profile suited to the latest-generation 911.
This ducktail is made specifically for 992.1 Carrera-bodied cars (including GT3 Touring variants) and features careful ducting around intercoolers to suit turbocharged applications. As part of the installation you will need to completely remove the deployable spoiler and the associated mechanism and wiring. Once this is completed the new fixed ducktail can be installed. Coding will be required once installed to prevent a spoiler malfunction warning on the dashboard.
We are able to offer worldwide shipping for this product or can offer installation here in our workshop.
Please note, the spoiler fitted in the pictures is finished in FULL Lacquer to showcase it against the normal bodywork.
As part of the installation, the factory deployable spoiler mechanism and associated hardware must be removed in order to fit the fixed ducktail correctly. Traditionally this would require ECU coding to disable the active rear spoiler system and prevent warning lights on the dashboard. However, Dissident also offers an optional plug-and-play spoiler delete module, allowing you to bypass the warning light without the need for coding. This not only saves time and installation costs but also makes returning the vehicle back to OEM specification far simpler should you ever wish to revert to stock. The factory deployable system removal requirement is also referenced by Dissident in their official product documentation.
Spoiler Paintwork
If you choose to have us paint the spoiler then we will require to Spectro-Analyse your vehicle paintwork.
If you’re local then it’s a quick 5 minute process at our bodyshop to get an accurate composition of your paint (Not just relying on the paint code as there can be variations). If you’re further a field within the UK we will either require you to visit us prior to your installation (Or the day before) or send us your fuel flap so that the paint can be mixed and applied to give you the perfect match.
The options we have available are:
- Raw Carbon Finish – This is the spoiler straight out of the mould. This will require it to be finished, primed and painted (SUPPLY ONLY OPTION).
- Full Lacquered Carbon – This is where we will finish the spoiler and have it lacquered and ready to be installed into your vehicle. Carbon finish can be gloss or matte.
- Primed – This is where we will finish and prime the part in our bodyshop so that the spoiler can be painted and lacquered by your chosen bodyshop.
- Half Painted – We spray the spoiler with some exposed carbon in the middle and body colour on the edge and middle seam (as pictured).
- Fully Sprayed – We handle everything start to finish ready to fit.
Carbon Fibre Engine Cover
For a fully cohesive rear-end upgrade, the Dissident Carbon Fibre Engine Cover is the ideal companion to the ducktail rear spoiler. Designed with the same OEM+ philosophy and premium carbon construction, it replaces the factory panel with a high-quality carbon component—enhancing both material finish and overall visual impact. When paired together, the combination creates a cleaner, more purposeful rear profile that elevates the look of the 992.2 to a more track-focused, motorsport-inspired standard. Available in the same Standard and Herringbone weave you have the choice to retain the 3rd brake light or delete for the ultimate clean look.

Installation
Installing the Dissident 992.2 Fixed Ducktail is more involved than a simple bolt-on cosmetic upgrade due to the way Porsche integrates the active rear spoiler system into the 992 platform. The factory deployable spoiler assembly must be fully removed to allow the fixed ducktail to mount correctly.
Once removed, the car’s ECU will still search for the original active spoiler mechanism, which would normally trigger a dashboard warning light and fault code.
To solve this, there are two options:
- Traditional coding — the active rear spoiler system can be coded out by a Porsche specialist using the correct diagnostic equipment.
- Optional Dissident Spoiler Delete Module — a plug-and-play solution that prevents warning lights without any coding required.
The optional module is the most convenient solution, reducing labour time, saving on coding costs, and making the entire conversion fully reversible should you wish to return the vehicle to standard in the future. This can be purchased at the same time as ordering the fixed ducktail.
The ducktail is supplied with a fitting guide covering removal, mounting points, and alignment.
If you require installation, this is something we can handle here at Carbonwurks HQ in Poole.

Please Note:
- We are able to ship this product world-wide
- Unless we can spectro-analyse your paint work prior to painting we cannot 100% guarantee a paint match due to Porsche paint composition.
- If you opt to send us the Fuel Flap for paint spectro-analysis please ensure this is done via a tracked / recorded method (Royal Mail Special Delivery for example). Once we have analysed the paint, we will ensure this is returned via Special Delivery within a few days.
- We highly recommend that if you are not within the UK and want a painted spoiler that you elect for the Raw Carbon, lacquered or Primed version so that your bodyshop can do the required work to getting this part looking how it should. If you are happy to accept the potential colour difference, we can proceed with painting in full before dispatch.
- Due to the nature of this being a hand-made carbon fibre part that is different to the factory plastic there will inherently be slight differences in panel gaps and alignments compared to original when it comes to being installed.Â
- If you are unsure of fitment, or would like up to date stock levels, please drop us a message and get in touch.
