It’s important to note that this upgrade is designed for vehicles already equipped with factory paddle shifters. On Cooper S models, this means the vehicle must have the JCW trim pack with paddles fitted as standard. This system upgrades the internal mechanism and paddles themselves—it does not add paddle functionality to vehicles that were not originally equipped.

Installation

Professional fitting is recommended for safety reasons. You will be required to fully remove your steering wheel and disassemble to access the paddle shifters. Installation is approximately 2 hours.

We’re happy to offer this system for installation at our workshop here in Poole, Dorset.

Your vehicle must already have paddles installed to be able to upgrade to magnetic shifters.

Please Note:

• This product is designed specifically for vehicles that are already equipped with factory paddle shifters. It is not possible to install this system onto vehicles that do not have OEM paddles fitted.
• For Cooper S models, compatibility is limited to vehicles specified with the JCW trim pack (or equivalent), where paddle shifters are included from factory. This upgrade replaces and enhances the existing paddle mechanism and paddles—it does not retrofit paddle functionality.
• Professional installation is recommended, as the process involves steering wheel disassembly and working around sensitive components such as the airbag system.
