The Mini Advanced Car Eye 3.1 is the latest-generation OEM dash camera system, developed specifically for the new Mini platform to deliver discreet, high-resolution front and rear recording which installs perfectly with your vehicle. Designed to look and function like factory equipment, it provides continuous protection while driving and parked — without aftermarket compromises.

Compared to the previous 3.0 Pro system, the Advanced Car Eye 3.1 introduces higher resolution recording, smoother frame rates, wider viewing angles, and a redesigned camera housing for improved coverage and clarity. The result is a system that not only looks OEM, but performs like a modern premium dashcam should.

Recording automatically in the event of an impact, sudden movement, or parking incident, the system captures critical footage when you need it most — ideal for insurance protection, any accident disputes, and peace of mind.

Unlike universal dashcams, the Mini Advanced Car Eye 3.1 integrates directly with the vehicle’s systems, allowing for clean installation, reliable power management, and OEM behaviour. Parking mode monitoring activates automatically, and the system operates seamlessly without driver input once installed.

Footage can be accessed easily via the supplied memory card and Mini Advanced Eye Dashcam App (iOS & Android).

Compatibility:

As the Mini Advanced Car Eye 3.1 is a universal product it should fit the majority of Mini’s. If you have a Cabriolet / Convertible only the front element will be installed.

Installation Options:

The Mini Advanced Car Eye 3.1 requires professional installation to ensure correct operation and seamless integration with the vehicle. Installation involves hardwiring into the vehicle’s electrical system, precise camera positioning and calibration, interior trim removal and refitting, and system coding (where required) to ensure correct sleep and wake behaviour. For this reason, we strongly recommend installation by a Mini specialist with experience in OEM accessory fitting. For UK customers, Carbonwurks can both supply and professionally install this system.

• Supply Only – We’ll ship out the system to fit yourself
• Front & Rear Camera – £210 (This includes the OEM Fitting Kit Extras required to hardwire it into your vehicle.

There will be cheaper companies out there that will charge significantly less to install this system but we offer a fully integrated installation service. This means that once installed it would look, feel and work as if it were installed there from factory. If you opt for Supply Only you can add in the additional fitting kit referenced in the instructions.

• The amount of time the dash cam can record will depend on your vehicle battery health and condition
• The Mini Advanced Car Eye 3.1 does NOT include GPS or Voice Control
• Whilst the instructions state that the vehicle needs to be coded after installation, we did not need to do this with our test / development vehicle
