Carbonwurks have been working with the boys at BCS for a number of years now and there is a clear reason why we keep going back with development parts, and that is quality. The BCS Mercedes 45 range downpipe and mid pipe is no exception and is one seriously impressive piece of kit.

After months of hard work from the guys at BCS they have brought out their downpipe to mid pipe with either a full decat or sports cat option. The downpipe makes a big difference to the exhaust noise bringing a more raw note along with bigger and louder crackle and pops. Throttle response is also increased and has the potential of yielding better performance out on the road too.

The downpipe is a 100mm design with an oversized 200 or 100 cell (let us know which option you would prefer) sports cat that will still pass emission tests along with a downpipe to mid pipe which runs over the front axle. The components feature machined billet parts and the pipework is wrapped with 1200 degrees Titanium thermal wrap to keep engine bay temps down and exhaust gasses up. Keeping the exhaust gasses hot running through the pipes increases air velocity which in turn can help performance.

These downpipes really are made to the highest possible standard with the finest stainless steel available. Designed and manufactured right here in the UK.

With this downpipe and mid pipe kit includes a Carbonwurks custom Lambda sensor spacer that helps defeat the engine warning light that is often seen with less restrictive catalytic converters. We have been running the sports cat version downpipe for many months with our spacer and no errors come up. We cannot say for certain however with the decat that this will defeat the error. A remap however can get rid of the emissions warning permanently.
