The Carbonwurks M3 (G80 / G81) & M4 (G82 & G83) M-Performance Carbon Rear Diffuser is Based on an OEM Design. Genuine Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre.

We have based our own “M-Performance” carbon fibre version on the OEM original but at a more cost effective price without compromising quality or fitment. Our design provides an aggressive look for the rear of your vehicle and enhances the styling dramatically. This is made with the same 2×2 twill carbon weave BMW use for their parts.

This diffuser has been developed to fit alongside the centre quad exhaust system. We developed here in the UK, an exhaust system with Quicksilver exhausts giving a much improved look and soundtrack compared to the genuine BMW M Performance version. Along with the improved look over the BMW variant, the price is also significantly cheaper too. If you are looking for the ultimate statement with your M3 or M4, this is going to be a talking point. This exhaust is soon to be available from Carbonwurks and Quicksilver exhaust directly (May 2022).

This diffuser comes in 3 pieces. Both of the main middle diffuser parts are in carbon fibre compared to the BMW version which is normally black metal for the exhaust surrounds. The final piece is the tow hook cover finisher which replaces the gloss black trim. Like all our parts we have developed and tested this to extreme lengths on track and due to this we include an additional brace for the centre piece of the diffuser which keeps it stable at high speeds. Without this brace, there would be a risk of damage or breakage with the part and bumper due to air movement at high speeds. With the brace, this package is bolted hard in place.

• Coated with RaceGlaze 55 high carnauba wax

For those who don’t know much about Pre-Preg Autoclave carbon, this is the strongest and lightest carbon fibre available. The diffuser itself is cooked under immense pressure to give a very uniform and pin-hole free finish. With this being cured at high temps, it ensures longevity of the diffuser. The diffuser is then finished in a UV, high gloss lacquer before being hand and machined polished and being treated to a high content carnauba wax from our partners Race Glaze.

Installation

This diffuser is a direct replacement for the original. To make space for the centre exhaust, the middle section (behind the diffuser) needs to be trimmed. Although a straight forward job, we include a trimming template to help with this. We always recommend using a competent bodyshop to undertake the installation.
