Upgrade Your Audi R8 Aluminium Engine X-Brace To A Genuine Carbon Fibre Version To Enhance Your Engine Bay.

Ever since we launched our 7-piece Carbon Fibre Engine Bay Kit there was always one part that we were always asked about, the engine x-brace. The standard OEM version from Audi is just a standard dark grey aluminium version that whilst is functional doesn’t look the best. This is why we are now able to offer a gloss carbon fibre version in 2×2 twill. Each end of the brace features a nice subtle gradient to black which leads to a re-enforced composite fixing area.

The carbon engine brace is made from 100% pure autoclaved carbon fibre. This is the strongest, lightest and highest quality carbon currently available, it’s the same technology and production that goes into Formula 1 cars. Once the part have been produced and pulled from the mould, it is checked and tested thoroughly before heading to lacquer. Each part is inspected further and checked for tolerances before being hand and machine polished, followed by being waxed and sealed in with high content Carnauba products from our partner Race Glaze.

The Carbonwurks R8 X-Brace is a direct replacement for the original aluminium version. Fitment is straight forward however we recommend the installation to be done by a trained professional as parts of your engine bay trim will need to be removed to allow for fitment.

If you’re lucky enough to own a Lamborghini Huracan then this brace fits this model also.

Custom Colour Lacquers

If you would like something a bit different (Like on our Audi R8 X-Brace) then we’re able to offer a custom colour to be applied to your part. Whilst we went with a purple / cotton candy as seen in the video there are many different colour options available. Please note that we cannot offer an exact colour match to a specific colour you require (For example your bodywork) due to the differences between carbon fibre and other materials. We will however endeavor to get a close a match as possible. This can be added to your order using the Optional Extra box above, please ensure you provide the colour required in the notes section when ordering. This service will take an additional 2-3 weeks to complete before shipping
