With the facelifted version of the Audi R8 (and some of the pre-facelift models), Audi removed the exhaust valve button from the multi-function steering wheel and in some cases (after a software update) removed the functionality of the button from some vehicles automatically. This was done in an attempt to meet sound and noise restrictions. The dAHler module is a simple system that gives you back full control of your exhaust system in terms of the valves / flaps that control the sound. The Dahler module is a simple system that allows you full control over the exhaust to get it’s true soundtrack whilst driving.

Building off the success of the module for the BMW F & G Series we asked dAhler to help us create a bespoke “premium” system using their technology but applicable to the Audi R8 platform. Whilst there are other “cheaper” solutions on the market, none come close to the quality, fit and ability of this system.

The controller is a plug-and-play system that installs directly into the existing OEM valve modules situated on the exhaust system.

One of the best features of this system is the memory function where the module leaves the valves in the position the car was shut-down in. For example if you want full noise on first engine start to really show off your exhaust then this will be perfect for you. The R8 dAhler system also allows you to put the car back into stock / factory mode so the valving works how it did from factory (Rather than full open or closed).

Please note that this is for the newer V2 (2025) model that is now IP68 rated.

Installation

We can supply & fit this system at our workshop here in Poole, Dorset. It will take approximately 2 hours to complete depending on the vehicle.

Please Note:

• For safety reasons, your vehicle’s valves cannot be permanently closed using the daHler controller as air restriction under full throttle may cause damage over time.
• This module system works with both the factory and aftermarket exhaust systems. If your vehicle has an aftermarket system (It must retain the use of the factory pneumatic / pressure valving and solenoid system). If you’re unsure if your system is compatible, please get in touch.
