Carbonwurks 2023 Wrapped Up!
Posts by : Dan McKenzie | 22/12/2023It’s Been A BIG Year For Carbonwurks In 2023 & We Thought If Spotify Can Offer A Wrapped Up 2023 Then So Could We! Check Out Some Of Our Highlight Of 2023!
We are now in the final week here at Carbonwurks and before we shut up for Christmas and the New Year, we thought it would be a good idea to round off some of the highlights from 2023!
It’s been a full year in our new premises, this has been a big step forward for the development of the company in being able to offer our services all under one roof.
We have stepped up our abilities to both manufacturer carbon and repair carbon, new relationships have been build globally both domestic and foreign for the brands we work with. These brands have been supplying us the finest performance upgrades for vehicles which our customers and ourself have loved.
Throughout the year we have made some incredible projects & builds both with car installations and carbon fibre fabrication. Some of our favourites are below.
Elliot’s Audi R8 4S
The work we carried out on this R8 carried on from 2022 into early 2023. This “Toxic Green” R8 had the full Audi Performance carbon package installed along with our carbon front & rear vents, fuel flap, door mirror & bezel and a custom engine bay set-up. We look forward to seeing this one in early 2024 for some more upgrades, what an absolute beast!
Andy’s E92 M3
Originally Andy came to us purely just to repair his carbon roof which had suffered the common lacquer peel and damage. We then continued to work with Andy to build his dream spec car including some 1-off custom parts. To name a few of the upgrades – full exterior carbon pack including front splitter, side skirts, mirrors and 1-off swan neck boot spoiler, upgraded carbon Eventuri intake kit and to round the year off a full vehicle service, paint detail with ceramic coating & an MOT. One of the cleanest, lowest mileage and perfectly maintained E92’s worldwide!
Stephen’s W205 C63S Cabriolet
The C63 is one of the nicest AMG’s made and will be one of the last V8’s put in an AMG. This C63 had the full “Wurks” carbon upgrade with a new front splitter, canards & intake spoilers, side skirts, mirrors, boot spoiler and diffuser. Later in the year this C63 came back in for a downpipe upgrade and remap to give a soundtrack that is unrivalled. A really aggressive looking AMG with all go & all show!
Tom’s M4 G82
We’ve had the pleasure to work on such a huge amount of M3 & M4 G series cars over the last couple years. One that stood out was actually quite a simple and clean upgrade. Tom’s M4 came in for the M Performance and OEM style carbon pack. The carbon that went on included, M performance style
front bumper ducts, side vents, door mirrors, side skirts, rear bumper spoilers, rear diffuser and boot spoiler lip. This car looked like it had just rolled off the forecourt with all the genuine BMW carbon, very nice build.
Robert’s Bentley Bentayga
This was one of the first Bentley’s we’ve worked on and it was a bit of a beast! The latest generation of modern day vehicles sound a bit muted. With GPF/OPF’s, even a bit displacement engine can sound weak. This Bentley had a Quicksilver exhaust fitted (keeping emissions compliant) and we treated it to a full ceramic coat on the fresh matte black wrap. One of the most effortlessly cool cars we had in for 2023.
Carbonwurks Development Cars
This year we’ve had 3 development cars. The M4 G82, M3 Touring G81 and now the Mini LCI2 JCW. All have been amazing builds with some truly unique touches. We have moved on from our M cars and are currently full steam ahead with our track/fast road specification JCW. The amount of work done to these cars would be an essay in itself but all the same, it’s been a great experience to build some unique cars.
Pav’s BMW collection
Last but not least is a special mention to a very good customer of ours who from 2022 through to the final week of 2023 has kept us very busy building, restoring and maintaining his fleet of M cars. We undertook a complete rebuild on his E36 which he had from new, this car hadn’t been moved for 13 years and required some 250+ man hours to bring it back to it’s former glory. We have worked on Pav’s pair of E46 M3’s (Coupe and Cab) and also his E92 M3 along with some other projects. It’s been a fun and challenging journey but what ever Pav brought to us we, rebuilt, serviced, repaired and remanufactured including some extremely rare AC Schnitzer carbon parts.
A final thanks to all our loyal customers we’ve had in 2023, there are too many to mention but each and every one of you have supported us as a business through tough global times and for that we are very grateful.
Wishing you all a great Christmas and New Years. See you in 2024!
