When it comes to exhausts there are quite a few manufacturers all over the world. One of the C63’s biggest power, torque and noise restrictions is the factory catalytic converters. It’s often one of the more common and first things to change on any road car to further enhance the soundtrack of the exhaust as well as open up the tuning possibilities with more power gains being achieved. These replacements downpipes are a lighter weight component that has more efficient flow and shows noticeable improvements. The downpipes are also ceramic coated too.
Quicksilver’s Volcanic Black and White Ceramic Coat offers temperature reductions of over 110 degrees C at the manifold, resulting in a reduction of over 27.5 degrees C in under bonnet temperature and power increases of up to 5.5%. The coating originally developed for the defence and Nuclear industries offers proven performance gains and is extremely durable and stone chip resistant.
Now used extensively in top level Motor Sport this Ceramic Coat option offers greater performance / reduced surface and ambient temperatures / highly effective corrosion barrier and a tough hard wearing shell coating whilst adding a truly unique look and finish to your system.
Each exhaust is made to order, the lead time therefore will be between 2-4 weeks. On occasions this may be as little a 1 week depending on stock levels. Due to these downpipes replacing the factory catalytic converters we recommend remapping and re-calibrating the engine software. We can provide a nationwide remapping service as well as fitting in house.
